Pecora Ginza

Pecora Ginza

Pecora Ginza is an Italianesque sartoria reimagined with Japanese sensibilities. It is led by Hideaki Sato, who was born into a family of Japanese tailors, and trained under Tsukumo Igarashi, a tailor who could boast Charles De Gaulle as a client. He moved to France in 1988 to learn the Vauclair-Darroux method at ACADÉMIE INTERNATIONALE DE COUPE DE PARIS. Later on, he moved again to Milan to train at Mario Pecora, who had many international Royal clients. Sato believes that Mario Pecora taught him how to respect the client’s ideals whilst making products that accentuate their individuality. In 2000, inheriting his master’s name, Pecora Ginza opened in Ginza, Tokyo. Sato’s experiences in Japan, France and Italy, enable his soft hand-sewn details, affluent curves and constructive Northern Italian tailoring to create garments that are both uniquely styled and classsicly elegant.
