Tailor Caid

Tailor Caid expresses modern American traditional style with advanced Japanese technology and finest sensitivity. The owner, Yuhei Yamamoto, studied tailoring at the famous Boston Tailor, then opened Tailor Caid in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2002. The ideal style of Mr. Yamamoto is that of the sophisticated and well-dressed men who worked on Madison Avenue, New York between the 1920s and 1960s. Their men’s style aesthetic rooted in city life is translated into a modern version of the traditional American suit.
Mr. Yamamoto says, “If you see movies and pictures of great actors from that era, you see the beautiful presence of the person, not the suits themselves.”
