On the occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo 94 (12th -15th June), Vitale Barberis Canonico presents the book “Sartoria Italiana” by the Japanese author, Yoshimi Hasegawa, who is also a connoisseur of men’s clothing. For the launch, there will be an evening event (by invitation only) on 13th June at 7 p.m. at Obicà in Via de’ Tornabuoni in Florence where a presentation, a book signing and the show of 27 garments created with Vitale Barberis Canonico fabrics will take place.
The book, published in Italian and English by Skira, is developed through intimate portraits of 27 Italian tailors over a period of three years during interviews with master tailors, who have been immortalised by the English photographer, Luke Carby. 27 Italian tailors, from the most renowned to those just emerging, are presented in the book, which is mainly sponsored by Vitale Barberis Canonico.
A journey from north to south along the paths of the artisanal excellence which is Italian haute couture.
