The Vitale Barberis Canonico wool mill and Yasuto Kamoshita, the Japanese designer at Camoshita United Arrows present Between, a limited edition capsule of 12 pieces comprising jackets, overcoats and trousers using four unique fabrics produced by the wool mill in exclusive creations by the designer. The collection will be presented in a preview during Milano Moda Uomo with haberdasheries by Anderson & Sheppard, on Sunday 16th June, in the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom in 23 Via Solferino, and will be on sale in the autumn on Mr Porter and at United Arrows. The line was inspired by the concept of “Between”, because Yasuto Kamoshita had the initial idea of connecting “FASHION” with “CLASSIC”. It is increasingly visible how contemporary brands take their inspiration from classic haute couture clothing and vice versa. Some Italian brands have become more conservative while others have become more eye-catching. The Japanese designer has tried to create a line which is not only simple and refers back to the traditional, but something to make its wearer feel up to date, in fashion, yet which endures over time. That’s how the “Between” between “CLASSIC” and “FASHION” was born.
