In the Milan showroom at Via Solferino 23, an evening event took place which was totally dedicated to artisanal skills. A flagship of Made in Italy, namely Vitale Barberis Canonico, and a flagship of Made in England, Edward Green, demonstrated their know-how in their respective fields of activity.
A mender demonstrated how to make the invisible visible, manually repairing the imperfections in a piece of fabric. An art which requires precision, concentration and great skill. Using a needle and thread, any imperfection in the fabric becomes perfection. On the other hand, an artisan creating men’s luxury shoes demonstrated how to process the leather to obtain the best shoes in the world. Work which requires strength, dedication and passion, resulting in the best shoes made entirely by hand.
