Vitale Barberis Canonico announces a partnership with Vacheron Constantin at the occasion of the launch of the new collection Métiers d’Art Elégance Sartoriale which comprises five watches whose faces are “clothed” by the same number of classic designs from the world of men’s fashion. The collection will be presented during the European Artistic Craft Days, to be held in different European capitals and, in its absolutely first preview in Paris at the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition “L’Empreinte du Geste” at the Musée Des Arts Décoratifs on 31st March.
The engravers and enamellers of Vacheron Constantin got their inspiration from five well known fine fabrics of Vitale Barberis Canonico collection: Herringbone, Prince of Wales, Tartan, Pinstripe and Windowpane. Each of these is allocated to a Vacheron Constantin watch model representing the ideal passion for excellence in skills, a sense of measure, the spirit of the form, attention to detail and sartorial elegance inspired by the codes of masculine elegance, these creations are the symbols of a coming together between time and style.

When one of the oldest wool mills in the world, with more than 350 years of history, joins forces with the oldest eminent watchmaker’s with more than 260 years’ tradi- tion, the thread of history takes an unexpected turn: prestigious fabrics meet superior watchmaking in a manufacturing dance between style and sophisticated mechani- sms of classic horologic traditions.
Passion for beautiful craft and manufacturing, as shared by Vitale Barberis Canonico and Vacheron Constantin, means that the two houses unite forces to pay homage to the sartorial arts, transcending time and which, in themselves, between the warp and the weft, weave their own eternity.
The collection will be on sale at the Vacheron Constantin boutiques from September 2016.
